Rockbeare Manor has to be up with one of my favourite wedding venues to decorate in Devon.
Set in over 100 acres of stunning parkland, the exquisite grade 1 listed regency house is timelessly elegant. Neutral decor, white pillars and giant contemporary chandeliers add an airy feel to this spacious house. The full length windows are perfect giving stunning views across the grounds.
On Saturday 3rd February I made my way down to this beautiful venue to deliver flowers for a very lovely couple, Leanne and Tom had first contacted me earlier in the year requiring flowers for their wedding day and both had a vision of what they would like.
Their stunning colour scheme of ivory, pastel pinks off set with a splash of aubergine set the scene perfectly on the day, Leanne carried a classic trailing shower bouquet incorporating gorgeous Roses in various shades, aubergine Ranunculus, spray roses, Lisianthus & Gypsophila along with other seasonal flowers to compliment the wedding style.
I popped in to the Pig @ Coombe (Which is stunning by the way! If you haven’t been you have to call in for lunch or a coffee!) with the bouquets for Leanne and her lovely group of Bridesmaids – they stayed in a lovely little cottage and I must say it was probably the most relaxed atmosphere ever!
I then set off for Rockbeare to set up the venue and give Tom and his Groomsmen their Buttonholes. The guys all arrived dressed in the perfect combination of navy blue suits, grey waistcoats and aubergine ties. After gathering the men in one area I started pinning their buttonholes to their jackets… I like to attach them on the day if I can so I know they are attached correctly and will stay in place for the duration of the day (especially important for photo’s like this!)
The guest tables were decorated with gorgeous rings of flowers around the top of my silver 80cm candelabras, beautifully finished with draping pearl garlands, this was teamed with a long and low tumbly arrangement in the same flowers to sit along the front of the top table to give a gorgeous feature in front of Leanne and Tom.
